Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk egg, milk, and melted butter together.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the blueberries.
  6. Fill greased or paper-lined muffin cups 2/3 full with batter.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.

Directions:

  • Avoid overmixing the batter to prevent muffins from becoming dense.
  • Fill the muffin cups evenly to ensure uniform baking.
  • Rotate the muffin pan halfway through baking for even cooking.

Tip: Use a non-stick muffin pan or line with paper liners to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
