This Grilled Chicken Margherita combines juicy grilled chicken breasts with fresh mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, and fragrant basil. Drizzled with balsamic glaze, this dish is a delightful twist on the classic Margherita pizza, perfect for dinner.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • Balsamic glaze for drizzling

  • Mixing bowl

Directions

Step 1: Prepare the Chicken.
Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. In a mixing bowl, drizzle the chicken breasts with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

Step 2: Grill the Chicken.
Place the chicken on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the chicken is no longer pink in the center.

Step 3: Add the Toppings.
During the last few minutes of grilling, place slices of fresh mozzarella and tomatoes on top of each chicken breast. Close the grill lid to melt the cheese.

Step 4: Garnish.
Once the cheese is melted and bubbly, remove the chicken from the grill. Top with fresh basil leaves and drizzle with balsamic glaze.

Step 5: Serve.
Transfer the grilled chicken to a serving platter and enjoy warm.
