Serves: 4
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes
Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade seasoning)
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup salsa or taco sauce
  • Cooking oil (for frying)

Cookware Needed:

  • Large skillet
  • Spatula
  • Mixing bowl
  • Paper towels
  • Non-stick frying pan or griddle

Directions:

Step 1: Cook the Ground Beef:

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add the taco seasoning and follow the package instructions (usually adding water and simmering for a few minutes). Stir well to combine.

Step 2: Prepare the Crunchwrap Filling:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheese.

Step 3: Assemble the Crunchwraps:

  • Lay one tortilla on a clean surface. In the center, layer a scoop of the seasoned beef, followed by a generous amount of the lettuce, tomato, and cheese mixture. Top with a dollop of sour cream and a spoonful of salsa.
  • Place a smaller tortilla (about 6 inches) on top to help hold everything together. Fold the edges of the large tortilla over the fillings, creating pleats to form a wrap.

Step 4: Cook the Crunchwraps:

  • Heat a non-stick frying pan or griddle over medium heat and add a little cooking oil. Carefully place the wrapped crunchwrap seam-side down in the pan.
  • Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Repeat with remaining wraps.

Step 5: Serve:

  • Once cooked, remove the crunchwraps from the pan and let them cool slightly on paper towels. Cut in half and serve with extra salsa or sour cream on the side.

These At-Home Crunchwraps are a delicious and customizable meal that can be made in under 30 minutes. With layers of seasoned beef, fresh veggies, and creamy sauces, they offer a satisfying crunch in every bite. Perfect for a family dinner or a fun meal with friends, these wraps are sure to please everyone!
