Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars together.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Spread the cookie dough in a greased 9x13-inch baking pan.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

Directions:

  • Ensure the butter is softened to allow for easy creaming.
  • Spread the cookie dough evenly in the pan using a spatula.
  • Use a toothpick to test for doneness; if it comes out clean, the cookie bars are ready.

Tip: Use a non-stick baking pan to prevent the cookie bars from sticking and make cleanup easier.
