  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • Optional: fresh lime or lemon wedges for serving

Directions:

 

Step 1: Prepare the Spice Mixture.
In a mixing bowl, combine paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

 

Step 2: Season the Chicken.
Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Rub olive oil or melted butter over the chicken, then coat each breast generously with the spice mixture, pressing it into the meat.

 

Step 3: Heat the Skillet.
Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat until it’s a lot hot. Add a little extra oil if needed to prevent sticking.

 

Step 4: Cook the Chicken.
Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the hot skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on one side until a dark crust forms. Flip the chicken and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes on the other side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

 

Step 5: Rest and Serve.
Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with lime or lemon wedges for an extra burst of flavor.
