Ingredients:
- Lasagna noodles
- Tomato sauce
- Ricotta cheese
- Grated mozzarella
- Minced meat
- Basil leaves
- Salt and pepper
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Boil the lasagna noodles in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a pan, brown the minced meat and season with salt and pepper. Add the tomato sauce and basil leaves. Simmer for a few minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with salt and pepper.
- To assemble, spread a layer of meat sauce in the bottom of a baking dish. Place a layer of lasagna noodles, then spread the ricotta mixture evenly. Top with another layer of noodles and cover with the remaining meat sauce. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
Directions:
- Repeat the layering process until all the ingredients are used, ending with mozzarella cheese.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is golden brown and bubbly.
Tip: Use a deep, rectangular baking dish to ensure all the layers fit snugly and cook evenly.
